New Orleans, LA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The New Orleans Saints have reportedly
signed linebacker Danny Clark on Monday.
According to the New Orleans Times-Picayune, Clark was signed to add depth to
a linebacker corps that has lost Jonathan Casillas for the season to a foot
injury.
Clark participated in training camp for Houston, but was released on Sunday.
The 11-year veteran spent the past two seasons with the Giants and in 2009 he
posted 53 tackles and two sacks over 16 games, 11 starts.
Also on Monday, the team released tight end Tory Humphrey to make room on the
roster for Clark, signed running back Brandon Minor and guard Roger Allen to
the practice squad and released quarterback Sean Canfield and tight end Dustin
Mitchell from the practice squad.
