Nuggets resume trek in New Jersey

(Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Northwest Division-leading Denver Nuggets will shoot
for their fifth straight win this evening when they resume an eight-game road
trip against the New Jersey Nets at the IZOD Center.
Denver posted its fourth straight win and improved to 2-0 on the trek
following Friday's 124-103 victory at Washington. Carmelo Anthony scored 23
points for the Nuggets, who welcomed back point guard Chauncey Billups and
forward Kenyon Martin from injury.
Billups (ankle) and Martin (flu) each missed Wednesday's 114-113 triumph over
Oklahoma City, but came back Friday to net 16 and 11 points, respectively, in
a winning cause. Dahntay Jones added 18 points, while Chris Andersen and Linas
Kleiza each netted 13 for Denver.
The Nuggets will also visit the Heat, Magic, 76ers, Bulls and Bucks, and are
14-10 away from the Rocky Mountains this season.
Meanwhile, New Jersey is trying to extend its current winning streak to a
season high four consecutive games. In Wednesday's 115-88 win at the Wizards,
Devin Harris ended with 26 points, seven assists and five boards for the Nets,
who shot a sizzling 61.3 percent from the field.
Brook Lopez contributed 12 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, while Vince Carter
finished with 20 points and five assists for New Jersey. Ryan Anderson ended
with 18 points and nine boards in the win.
The Nets will try to work on their 10-15 mark at the Meadowlands Saturday
night and attempt to end a three-game slide to the Nuggets. New Jersey is 10-5
in the previous 15 meetings in the series and has won 14 of the last 17 as the
host versus Denver.
