Lakers deal Radmanovic to Bobcats for Morrison and Brown

forward Adam Morrison and guard Shannon Brown from the Charlotte Bobcats in
exchange for forward Vladimir Radmanovic on Saturday.
Morrison was taken third overall by the Bobcats in the 2006 NBA Draft
following a decorated collegiate career with Gonzaga, earning unanimous First
Team All-America honors and garnering multiple National Player of the Year
awards in his senior season.
The 24-year-old showed flashes of talent in his rookie campaign, averaging
11.8 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 29.8 minutes with 23 starts in
78 games. However, Morrison missed the entire 2007-08 season after suffering a
torn ACL in his left knee during the preseason and has played sparingly this
season. In 44 games, Morrison is averaging 4.5 points and 1.6 rebounds in 15.2
minutes.
In 122 career games, Morrison is averaging 9.1 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.6
assists in 24.5 minutes.
Brown, in his third NBA season out of Michigan State, was taken 25th overall
by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2006 draft. Traded to the Chicago Bulls as
part of the Ben Wallace deal in February of 2008, Brown signed with Charlotte
as a free agent this past August. In 30 games this season, Brown is averaging
4.8 points in 11.4 minutes.
In 74 career games, Brown has posted averages of 4.5 points in 10.6 minutes.
The Serbian-born Radmanovic is in his eighth NBA season, averaging 5.9
points and 2.5 rebounds in 16.8 minutes while currently ranked ninth in the
league in three-point field goal percentage (.441) with 60 three-pointers
through 46 games this season.
In 516 career games with the SuperSonics, Clippers and Lakers, Radmanovic is
averaging 9.2 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 24.3 minutes.
