Dolphins sign veteran LB Carpenter

Miami, FL (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Miami Dolphins have signed linebacker
Bobby Carpenter to an undisclosed contract.
The former number one draft choice had spent the 2010 training camp with the
St. Louis Rams after being acquired from Dallas in a May trade that sent
offensive tackle Alex Barron to the Cowboys.
Dallas made Carpenter the 18th overall selection in the 2005 NFL Draft and in
four seasons with the Cowboys, he recorded 96 tackles and three and a half
sacks over 58 games.
The Dolphins also released linebacker Charlie Anderson and signed linebackers
Austin Spitler and Chris McCoy, defensive back Jonathon Amaya, defensive end
Ryan Baker, guard Ray Feigna, tight end Nathan Overbay and wide receiver
Julius Pruitt to the practice squad.
